Timeless Steel is a collection of 30 pieces, new and previously published, on India's most valuable Test match batsman.

Timeless Steel is an anthological biography about Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid published in 2012 by The Walt Disney Company India Pvt. Ltd. and ESPN Cricinfo. It compiles 24 articles written about Dravid, before and during 2012, the year when he announced his retirement from international cricket. The book also features four Dravid interviews (by Cricinfo), the Bradman Oration he delivered in Australia in 2011, a summary of his statistics, and an 18-page photo gallery of his career. Many of the articles are sourced from other media articles/interviews, including many by ESPNcricinfo itself.

The articles

There are 24 articles in the book, along with an introduction piece. The articles are divided in five sections:

1. The Cricketer - In this section, journalists talk about his cricketing skills. It contains 6 articles.
2. In the Words of His Peers - In this section, Dravid's contemporary cricketers and coaches talk about their experiences with him. It contains 5 articles.
3. The Great Innings - In this section, some of Dravid's best individual innings are described by sports journalists. It contains 6 articles.
4. The Man - In this section, the aspects of his personality are discussed. One of the articles is written by Vijeeta Dravid, the wife of Rahul dravid. It contains 6 articles.
5. The numbers - This section contains an article analyzing his statistics in the game as well as a detailed breakdown of his career statistics.

All the sections end with a Dravid interview, except the last. Before Vijeeta's article, a picture gallery is included. Before the last section, Dravid's Bradman oration is included. Trivia about Dravid's career statistics is given at the end of some articles.
